Indeed, taste is something very personal, and the concentration varies with tea types as well.  But we still suggest beginners to try this formula for 1st time, and then it’s easier to adjust for your personal flavor accordingly.

According to the feedbacks we got from our clients so far – if you make your tea with tea leaves of other brand, it’s very likely you have to add more tea leaves and adjust the timing as well…

Please keep your eyes open, we will also share another easy formula for tea leaves in balls soon… J

* For your information, 1 tbsp is about 2~4g loose leaf tea…
(Perhaps a bit more or less, depends on how loose the leaf tea is…)

** A GREEN option - just put tea leaves into mug directly and strain the tea in final step.

PRAVO No.95 Tea - Organic Assam Black Tea (Wild and Limited)

As Japanese got some seeds from India by all means in the Japanese Time of Taiwan, we started to plant and produce Assam Black Tea from then on…  Due to the excellent quality, most Formosa Black Tea and Oolong Tea were exported to the West with great reputation generations before.

Tea Utensils – Smelling Cup & Tea Cup

Smelling_tea_cup_1
After the host makes the tea with tea pot, he/she will pour all the tea into the “tea cup for share”, in case the tea becomes too bitter as being kept in hot water for a long time…

And then the host will pour the tea to individual smelling cups…  Later, everyone just have the tea from individual smelling cup into tea cup by themselves – either turns the smelling cup over quickly or just pours it from smelling cup to tea cup with common senses… both ways are fine…

Finally, all may enjoy the aromas from the smelling cup first, and then enjoy the tea in tea cup later as well.

Q&A: What Is The Suitable Temperature To Make Tasty HOT Tea?

Q:

What Is The Suitable Temperature to Make Tasty HOT Tea?

A:

Different types of tea, partly because of the maturity of tea leaves, partly because of different production procedures, require different temperature of hot water to spread out their maximal aromas.

Temperature_1

Here is the easiest way for beginners to judge the suitable temperature of water quickly – checking the surface of tea leaves, and you can reach 80% accuracy easily though there are several factors that matter.

Temperature_2

Please keep it in mind – the hotter the water is, the shorter the time should be given rest factors remain.  For instance, your tea may be too bitter if you keep tea leaves in 100°C / 212°F hot water with 20 seconds delay (compared with the usual timing you adopt to) no matter how expensive your tea is.  But on the other way around, if you don’t keep the tea leaves in lower temperature for longer time, your tea may be too thin.

It’s not a difficult task, just needs some practices…  The more you practice, the faster you’ll figure out your own preference and enjoy the great taste as a reward.  ;-)

Cinnamon Oolong Black Tea – Black Tea Drink

Indeed, cinnamon is a very popular European flavor of autumn and winter; while Oolong Black Tea with rich honey flavor has become a very typical Taiwanese flavor.

Mum, how about the mixed flavor?

In addition to the main honey flavor and sweetness of pure Oolong Black Tea, Cinnamon aromas make it deeper, which is even better for chilly days. Just try it! And I bet you’ll love it! ;-)

Taiwanese & Japanese Tea Gourmet Party

As this tea party was held for “tea gourmets” of Taiwan and Japan, we both took it seriously…  We made our tea with unique tea utensils, which were hand-made by well-known Taiwanese artists; while Japanese wore their traditional formal dress.

Tw_jp_tea_party_1

We enjoyed Japanese national drink – Green Tea in Japanese way; while Japanese learnt our way to drink various types of Taiwan/Formosa tea.

We were very careful in numberless details in serious Japanese way; while Japanese all felt quite relaxing in our flexible Taiwanese way – it’s really much easier for foreigners to learn...

Tw_jp_tea_party_2

We were surprised by the deep meanings behind all the motions of making Japanese tea; while Japanese were amazed by the variety as well as multi flavors/aromas of Taiwan tea as Japan just produces Green Tea due to climate limit.

Tw_jp_tea_party_3

All participants enjoyed different tastes of tea as well as tea cultures from another country…  Everyone laughed a lot partly because of the funs resulted from culture difference and partly because of the delicious tea…  (Obviously, Japanese tried their best to pretend serious, just as usual, but they burst into laugh with us finally…J)

Tw_jp_tea_party_4

With “body language and sincerity,” we created this unique tea time together…  After all, good willingness is universal and beyond words… J
