As this tea party was held for “tea gourmets” of Taiwan and Japan, we both took it seriously… We made our tea with unique tea utensils, which were hand-made by well-known Taiwanese artists; while Japanese wore their traditional formal dress.
We enjoyed Japanese national drink – Green Tea in Japanese way; while Japanese learnt our way to drink various types of Taiwan/Formosa tea.
We were very careful in numberless details in serious Japanese way; while Japanese all felt quite relaxing in our flexible Taiwanese way – it’s really much easier for foreigners to learn...
We were surprised by the deep meanings behind all the motions of making Japanese tea; while Japanese were amazed by the variety as well as multi flavors/aromas of Taiwan tea as Japan just produces Green Tea due to climate limit.
All participants enjoyed different tastes of tea as well as tea cultures from another country… Everyone laughed a lot partly because of the funs resulted from culture difference and partly because of the delicious tea… (Obviously, Japanese tried their best to pretend serious, just as usual, but they burst into laugh with us finally…J)
With “body language and sincerity,” we created this unique tea time together… After all, good willingness is universal and beyond words… J
